Michelle Lalinde, FNP-BC, is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She also is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist in the field of bone densitometry through the International Society of Clinical Densitometry.
Michelle earned her Masters of Science and Bachelors of Science degrees in Nursing from Columbia University in New York and supplemented her training serving underrepresented populations in community health clinics. In addition, Michelle holds Bachelors of Science degrees in Biological Sciences and Psychology from Colorado State University where she was heavily involved in academic research studies.
Michelle began in career in pediatric and adult primary care in Bronx, New York before relocating to New Jersey to work for an orthopedic surgery practice. In this capacity, she focused on general orthopedics with an emphasis on minimally invasive knee surgery. While in New Jersey, Michelle also broadened her experience as a Nurse Practitioner by working in an inpatient facility for substance abuse disorders. Given her love of skiing, she relocated back to Colorado to specialize in rare and metabolic bone diseases.
Michelle is passionate about bone health, particularly osteoporosis, which often is undertreated and a can be a significant source of chronic pain. Recognizing the opportunity to use her expertise to better serve patients, Michelle joined Colorado Pain Consultants and has added a new dynamic to the practice. Her care philosophy is to empower the patient through education, and she is dedicated to building a trusting relationship between the patient and provider. She encourages patients to actively participate in their own healthcare.
